Biography:
Pinhead is a prominent figure in the Hellraiser horror franchise. The character debuted in the 1987 film, Hellraiser, directed by Clive Barker, which was based on his novella, *The Hellbound Heart.*
Pinhead is not a demon, but a Cenobite, an entity from another dimension who experiences pleasure through extreme pain. He is the leader of the Cenobites, identifiable by his pale skin, grid-like scars, and numerous pins piercing his head, giving him the "Pincushion" nickname.
Originally a human named Elliot Spencer, a British Army Captain, he solved the Lament Configuration puzzle box, transforming him into the being known as Pinhead. He and the other Cenobites are summoned when the puzzle box is opened, and they subject those who open it to unimaginable torments.
